Huawei FreeBuds 5i with Multi-Mode ANC Launched in Nepal

Huawei has launched the FreeBuds 5i in Nepal as the successor to the popular FreeBuds 4i.

Huawei FreeBuds 5i Overview

Design

Huawei FreeBuds 5i brings a very light pair of earbuds at just under 5g each with an in-ear style design. The pebble-shaped case has a stone-like texture, which gives the FreeBuds 5i a very stylish look.

The IP54-rated FreeBuds 5i comes in 3 colors: Isle Blue, Nebula Black, and Ceramic White.

Audio Features

The FreeBuds 5i has a 10mm dynamic driver with a polymer composite diaphragm. It comes with Hi-Res certification, which provides a wider frequency response and multiple EQs to match different styles of music.

It features a 42dB multi-mode Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which Huawei claims, allows for the music experience to remain of the highest quality even in loud areas. With Ultra, General, and Cozy noise cancellation modes, users can adapt the earbuds according to the surrounding.

Huawei has also added an AI Noise Cancellation feature for calls and claims it can distinguish voices from ambient noise to deliver clear audio.

The earbuds also reduces low-frequency loss when worn sub-optimally, meaning you can enjoy them even if they are not placed seamlessly within the ear.

Connection & Controls

The Huawei FreeBuds 5i has Bluetooth 5.2 compatibility and also supports Pop-Up Pair, which prompts the user to pair the Earbuds as soon as the case is opened. The FreeBuds 5i finally supports Bluetooth connection with dual devices, which was previously not possible with the FreeBuds 4i.

The earbuds can be controlled with touch controls. You can long press to switch between ANC modes, press twice to play/pause audio, and swipe up/down to control the volume.

Battery & Others

The FreeBuds 5i claims up to 6 hours of music playback with ANC enabled and 18.5 hours with the charging case. With ANC off, it can provide up to 7.5 hours of music playback without the case and 28 hours with the charging case. The earbuds are rated at 55mAh each and the case is rated at 410mAh.

Huawei claims that it takes 60 minutes for the earbuds to fully charge in the charging case, and it can provide up to 4 hours of playtime with only 15 minutes of charging.

The Earbuds also comes with other features such as Smart Wear Detection and Find My Earphones.
