Seminar on Quantitative research with R

The Open Institute, a research and teaching cooperative, is an experiment in organization and exchangeThe Open Institute working to find a better way to teach and practice social science.
 
Recently, it has announced an 8-week long workshop for Quantitative research with R starting from May 2nd and ending on June 22nd. This seminar has been conducted in response to the interest of participants of previous seminars.
Dr. Peter Graif will be leading the seminar and will be providing participants a strong foundation in quantitative research methodology.

About R

R is an open-source programming language and software environment for statistical computing and graphics that is supported by the R Foundation for Statistical Computing. The R language is widely used among statisticians and data miners for developing statistical software and data analysis.

R is best known for being comprehensive. It helps to manage and manipulate data while incorporating all of the standard statistical tests, models, and analysis. It is considered very important as many new technologies and ideas first appear on R.
 
So, give R a try. It may be difficult to learn but a little push from a trained instructor goes a long way.
 
This workshop is a fundraiser for The Open Institute for Social Science’s research fellowship programs. All revenue goes directly to fund original fieldwork by junior scholars in Nepali universities. To apply, goto the official page.
