Vivo has finally launched the Vivo Y33s in Nepal. The phone was announced in August 2021 in India.
The Vivo Y33s price in Nepal is Rs. 29,999 (8/128GB). It is available for purchase at Vivo authorized stores across Nepal.
The phone was launched along with the Vivo Y01, Vivo’s entry-level Y-series smartphone.

Vivo Y33s Overview
Design
The Vivo Y33s comes in two colours: Mirror Black and Midday Dream. Both colour options have a shiny back finish. The latter has an orange and blue gradient that reflects light differently depending on the angle of the light.
The back has a rectangular camera design housing a triple camera setup. The device measures 8mm in thickness and weighs 182g. Both the power button, which also doubles as a fingerprint sensor, and the volume buttons are located on the right side of the phone.

Display
It has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ (1080 x 2408) resolution. Unfortunately, the panel only refreshes at 60Hz and does not support a higher refresh rate.
It still has an outdated waterdrop notch. Vivo claims the display can cover 96% NTSC colour space.
Hardware
The Vivo Y33s is equipped with the Mediatek Helio G80 chipset. The chipset has a Mali-G52 GPU, two ARM Cortex-A75 CPU cores clocked at 2.0GHz and six ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at Rs. 1.8GHz.
The device comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It also supports a microSD card for storage expansion.
Camera
The triple rear camera setup comprises a 50MP main camera, 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera.
On the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera. The phone can shoot video up to 1080p at 30fps.
Battery and OS
The Y33s includes a 5000mAh battery. It only supports up to 18W fast charging
Furthermore, it runs on FuntouchOS 11.1 on top of Android 11.

The Vivo Y33s features an attractive, slim, and lightweight design. However, it still has an outdated waterdrop notch. On top of that, the display also does not support a higher refresh rate than 60Hz.
Additionally, the Helio G80 is not the highest-performing chipset in this price range. The battery life, on the other hand, should be good, given that it comes with a 5000mAh battery capacity.
