Design
The back and the frame of the Huawei MatePad Pro are made of aluminium metal. The back has Huawei and Harman Kardon branding, with a single camera and a flash on the top corner (horizontal).
The power button is located on the top of the right side of the tablet. Near to that are volume buttons on the left of the top side. The top can also magnetically hold and charge the Huawei M-Pencil (2nd generation) that comes with the tablet.

Display
It has a 10.8-inch IPS LCD display with WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution. The display has rounded corners and has a typical brightness of 540nits.
The display has a cutout for the front camera at the top left corner of the display. The bezels are thin and symmetrical, lending the tablet a modern look.
Hardware
The Huawei MatePad Pro 10.8 2021 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. It has 1x 3.2GHz Cortex-A77 CPU core, 3x 2.4GHz Cortex-A77 CPU cores, 4x 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 cores, and an Adreno 650 GPU.
The chipset also supports Wi-Fi 6. However, it does not support a SIM card.
The tablet has 8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. As of now, only the 256GB variant is available in Nepal. The storage can also be expanded via a Huawei-developed proprietary nano memory card (NM card).
Along with the Huawei M-Pencil (2nd generation), it also comes with Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard. Moreover, it has a quad-speaker sound system tuned by Harman Kardon Audio and five microphones for noise cancellation.
Camera
The device features a 13MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens. It can shoot up to 4K resolution at 30 fps.
The cutout on the display houses an 8MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens.
Battery and Others
It comes with a 7250mAh battery. To charge the battery, the tablet comes with 22.5W fast charging but with the appropriate charger, it can support 40W Huawei SuperCharge.
It also supports 27W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging. In terms of an operating system, it runs on Huawei’s own HarmonyOS 2.

The Huawei MatePad Pro 10.8 2021 is a great tablet with a powerful processor. The design is premium, and it comes with four speakers, which should make for a good audio experience.
However, unlike the popular Android or iPadOS operating systems, it is powered by Huawei’s proprietary HarmonyOS. And the tablet is also quite expensive.
