Vivo Y20s Price Temporarily Dropped in Nepal Until February

vivo has dropped the price of vivo Y20s by Rs. 2,000 in Nepal, valid until February 2023. The phone was launched in January 2021 in the country.

The vivo Y20s price in Nepal is Rs. 23,499, and it comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB Storage. It is available in three colors: Purist Blue, Obsidian Black, and Nebula Blue.

The temporary price reduction will be in effect until the end of February 2023, after which the price will return to its original amount of Rs. 25,499.

vivo Y20s is a budget smartphone that is an upgrade to the vivo Y20 which was launched in September in Nepal. It packs a triple camera setup and 18W fast charging. Let’s take a brief look at the phone.

vivo Y20s Overview

Design

vivo Y20s rocks a similar design as the Vivo Y20 with a triple camera module on the rear. It uses a plastic back and plastic frame.

The rear has a glossy finish which makes the back look like glass. The fingerprint sensor is pushed onto the power button which is quite common these days.

On the front, Y20s has a teardrop notch with minimal bezels.

Display

vivo Y20s has the same 6.51 inches IPS LCD display as the Y20 with a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.

They are calling it Halo display and mention that there are various technologies used to ensure a crystal clear visual and immersive viewing experience.

Hardware

There’s not much of an upgrade interms of power as it uses the same Snapdragon 460 chipset used on the Y20. It comes in single memory configurations in Nepal: 128GB ROM and 4GB RAM.

Snapdragon 460 is an entry-level chipset introduced by Qualcomm in early 2020. It uses 4 Kryo 240 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz along with 4 Kryo 240 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz. It’s Adreno 610 GPU is the one used on the Snapdragon 665 chipset. This is an underclocked version of the Snapdragon 665 chipset.

Well, Y20s should not have a problem with running apps and other general tasks. It can also play games but it won’t be able to run heavy games smoothly.

Camera

Y20s also runs the same camera setup as the vivo Y20 with a triple camera setup. It has a 13MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor.

On the front, it gets the same 8MP sensor for selfies. Y20s can capture 1080p videos from both the rear and front camera.

Battery and OS

vivo Y20s gets a massive 5000 mAh battery which is the same as the Y20. Along with that, it comes with 18W fast charging.

Furthermore, it runs on FunTouch OS 10.5 on top of Android 10.

vivo Y20s Price in Nepal and Availablity

Currently, the vivo Y20s price in Nepal is Rs. 23,499 (4/128GB). It is available for purchase via offline mobile shops across the country.

The temporary price reduction will be in effect until the end of February 2023, after which the price will return to its original amount of Rs. 25,499.

vivo Y20s doesn’t bring many upgrades over the Y20. It is the same phone as the vivo Y20 with extra RAM and extra storage. It has a good battery capacity, a decent chipset, and a decent camera setup. But its price is expensive compared to the competition.

Given the tough competition in the mid-range market, vivo Y20s will have a hard time against the likes of Poco M2, Samsung M21, and Redmi Note 9.
