E-payment apps are sprouting up in the market like wild mushrooms. Apps like E-sewa, Khalti, and IME Pay have been around for a while but it looks like none of them have gained enough market share to deter other developers from developing their own e-payment apps. The latest one to launch is an app called QPay.
QPay is a product of QPay Pvt. Ltd. QPay’s main goal is to simplify the payment system by using a mobile as a wallet. With this application, you guys can easily make payment for goods purchased and services. Bill payment and fund transfer becomes simple and systematic with the usage of this App. Similarly, users can easily link their bank accounts for bill payment and fund transfer. Linking a bank account will help the users to deposit their QPay wallet funds in their respective bank accounts.
QPay App Features
Currently, QPay users can make payments of their Phone Bills (NTC / Ncell / UTL / Smart Cell), Internet (Subisu / ADSL / Broadlink), Cable TV (Dish Home / Net TV / SIM TV ) and Electricity Bills.
There is also a feature to allow users to withdraw funds from their QPay wallet through various QPay merchant locations; which can be very useful when you need instant access to funds and your atm shows that you only have Rs. 10.05 in your account.
There are other features baked into the app. One of them is a taxi service. You can view the taxis that accept Qpay nearby and you can find it in the map that Qqpay provides to you. Similarly, Qpay can help you find restaurants, nearby ATMs, and shops.
As of today, QPay has partnered with 45+ banks. There are 100K+ QPay users and 1.5K+ merchants. These are data provided by QPay themselves, so take it with a grain of salt. However, this may be true as they have been around for a while now though the app was officially launched yesterday. If you have any questions regarding the app or want to know how to become a merchant, head over to QPay’s site.
For those of you who want to try this app in the play store but are confused because there are millions of other apps named QPay, the one we are talking about has the logo of a barcode. I wonder why their user rating is so low.
