Earlier in January, Aprilia Nepal launched the Aprilia SR 150. And now just after few months, D-Lifestyle, the authorized distributor of Aprilia and Vespa two-wheelers in Nepal, has launched its all-new Aprilia SR 125 in Nepal on 18 March 2018. Aprilia SR 125 price in Nepal looks attractive at Rs. 2,35,900. Currently available in all of its 15 showrooms all over Nepal along with other popular variants – Vespa, it is coming soon in 3 other locations.

Design of Aprilia SR 125

Aprilia scooters are one of the most preferred scooters in Nepal. The sharp and edgy design of headlight provides a distinct look to its scooters. Aprilia SR 125 comes with a lean body design and plenty of sharp edges around its body which is not present in other brand scooters that are currently available in Nepal.

Aprilia has released SR 125 in two color variants: Silver and Blue. Color combination of the scooter and stickers provides a sporty look to the scooter. Both color variants of SR 125 makes scooter much more attractive and seems to perfectly blend with the design of the scooter.

Aprilia SR 125 is powered by 124 cc single cylinder four stroke two valve air cooled engine which is capable of producing maximum power of 9.46 BHP at 8500 rpm and 9.9 Nm at 6250rpm. It uses CVT transmission for more useable power, better fuel economy and a smoother driving experience. As per the claim of Aprilia, SR 125 can go up to 110 km/hr.

Aprilia SR 125 has a fuel tank of 7 liters which allow its customers travel long distance without worrying about refueling. Moreover, Aprilia SR 125 is one of the fuel-efficient scooters in Nepal as it provides a mileage of 40 kmpl to 45 kmpl.

125cc of Aprilia is one of the light weighted scooters in Nepali market having Kerb weight of only 122 kg. Less weight of Aprilia SR 125 allows the power of scooter to kick in earlier which provides instant throttle response while riding it.

The front suspension of Aprilia SR 125 consists of a Hydraulic telescopic fork with straight stanchions and Rear suspension of Aprilia 125 consists of a single arm with engine crankcase as swinging element, served by a single dual chamber shock with 4-setting adjustable spring preload. Suspension of Aprilia SR 125 is on the stiffer side which makes SR 125 better in terms of handling and cornering.

Similarity and Differences Between Aprilia SR 125 and SR 150

SR 125 shares most of its component with SR 150 along with five spoke 14-inch black alloy wheels and wider 120/70 tubeless tires. On first glance, it is difficult to differentiate between SR 125 and SR 150 as Aprilia SR 125 is identical to Aprilia SR 150 in terms of design and looks.

Talking about the difference in SR 125 and SR 150, SR 125 is given a new set of mirrors which does not provide an adequate view like the SR 150. Also, the pillion grab rays of SR 150 has been removed in SR 125 instead a band is given in between rider and pillion seat.

Main Competitor of Aprilia SR 125

Aprilia SR 125 has many rivals in the given price segment. The main competitor for Aprilia SR 125 is Honda Activa 125. Honda Activa generates power of 8.6 Bhp at 6500 rpm but Aprilia SR 125 generates power of 9.46 Bhp at higher rpm of 8500 rpm which is 1 Bhp more power than Honda Activa. Therefore, the power delivery of Aprilia is in higher RPM whereas Activa gains punch of its power at lower RPM.

Lean body design and sharp edges in Aprilia makes it stand against the crowd in terms of design than other 125cc scooters in Nepali market. Aprilia SR 125 is performance oriented scooter which is focused less towards practicality. If you tend to prefer more performance and top speed then Aprilia SR 125 can be a perfect scooter for you.
