The CFMoto 650MT is powered by 649cc twin 4-stroke engine producing a maximum power of 45.3 kW at 9000 rpm with a maximum torque of 56 Nm at 7000 rpm. It has the same engine found in CFMoto 650 NK naked. Having a liquid cooled engine, the transmission of the bike is held by 6-speed manual gearbox.

The fuel system of the bike consists of Bosch EFI technology. Talking about the suspension, the Front suspension gets USD forks while the Rear suspension gets KYB air-gas mixed, with 7 adjustable sections.
