Worldlink’s lucky 900,000th customer, the Bikram Thapa Magar family, recently received generous surprise gifts from the internet service provider.
In a video shared on its social media platforms on April 28, 2024, internet service provider Worldlink revealed that on April 23, it had achieved a significant milestone of serving 900,000 households.
The Thapa Magar family from Manamahiji, Balaju, Kathmandu, was the 900,000th customer. They received a range of gifts, including the Honor X9b, the boAt Airdopes 170, the Dristi Snowman IP Camera, a Dell laptop, a Panasonic Smart TV, and more. Worldlink Ambassador Shrinkhala Khatiwada was present to personally deliver the gifts to the Thapa Magar family.

On April 24, 2024, Worldlink Communications announced that it had reached a customer base of 900,000 households.
In expressing gratitude, CEO Keshav Nepal stated, “We are deeply honored by the trust our customers have shown in us. This milestone is a testament to their belief in our services. We remain committed to further enhancing our services and capacity to better serve our customers.”
Established in 1995, Worldlink, a pioneer in the telecommunications industry in Nepal, has been operating for over 29 years. Worldlink’s journey began with offering email services and has since expanded to provide a comprehensive range of internet solutions, starting with dial-up, cable internet, wireless internet, and the FTTH fiber internet introduced in 2014.
Currently operating in 73 districts of Nepal through its network of 130 branches, Worldlink reached its first hundred thousand customers in May 2017.
In addition to serving individual households, WorldLink also caters to major industries, banking and finance sectors, and government offices with its enterprise internet services, employing over 5300 people.
Worldlink holds a 25 percent market share in the ISP industry and accounts for 40 percent of internet traffic consumption in Nepal.
Worldlink has received a total foreign investment of Rs. 3.33 billion, the largest so far in the internet service industry in Nepal.
In October 2019, it received Rs. 1.35 billion in equity investment in the form of FDI from British International Investment (BII, formerly CDC Group), the UK Government’s development finance institution and impact investor. In March 2023, it received a series B investment of Rs. 1.08 billion from BII and Rs. 900 million from Dolma Impact Fund II (DIF II).
